Nothing is as strong as the heart of a volunteer

K9 Lifeline Rescue, Inc. (K9LLR)is Licensed by the State of Wisconsin AND Illinois, a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization based in SE Wisconsin/Northern Illinois who is reaching out to the public for more foster homes & transport volunteers. The Rescue is down to our lowest number of foster homes in 5 years. Sadly, the demand for more homes is high in large part due to the struggling economy and the added burden of homeless dogs in kill Shelters.  We need help all over Wisconsin,  Illinois and Indiana.

K9LLR pulls dogs from several High Kill Shelters, and also takes in abused, neglected or homeless dogs from the WI/IL area. If we do not obtain additional foster homes, many dogs in desperate need of rescue could lose their life.

K9LLR volunteer foster homes can request either large, medium or small breed dogs or puppies to foster and can also specify a certain breed. K9LLR provides our foster homes with crates or puppy pens. We also vaccinate (and alter all of our dogs) and puppies at the expense of the Rescue. You as the foster family, simply provide a safe, loving home for a dog in need until a permanent home is found.  All we ask is that you feed the foster dog a 4 star or better dog food according to www.DogFoodAdvisor.com If you are a full time foster home we can provide dog food if you provide the container.

In addition to our dire need of more foster homes, we also have a great need for volunteers able to assist with transporting of the pups from one place to another. We also have the need for a few extra volunteers to make follow up adoption calls, reference check calls, phone interviews, website maintenance, AND someone who has the “knack” to find us more veterinarians to help us!
